Check the business behind the listing
The starting point is eligibility, ownership and the way you serve customers. We distinguish a genuine customer-facing premises from a business that travels to customers. A service-area operation should not present a home or unstaffed address as a shop people can visit.
You retain ownership of the profile. Any management access is agreed and limited to the work required; sharing your personal account password is not part of the process.
Make the important details dependable
We review the business name, categories, hours, service area, services and website destination against information you approve. Categories should describe the business rather than every search phrase it hopes to appear for. The name should reflect its real-world identity, without extra promotional wording.
A change record explains proposed corrections and any missing information. Potential duplicates or ownership problems are documented before action so that a routine tidy-up does not become an uncontrolled account change.
- Confirm seasonal and bank holiday hours with the business.
- Check that the website link reaches a relevant, working page.
- Remove obsolete service descriptions after owner approval.
Use real material and invite honest feedback
Photographs should help someone understand the actual business: suitable premises, products or completed work, with permission to use them. Stock images should not stand in for evidence of a particular job.
Review requests should invite genuine feedback without incentives or filtering for likely positive responses. Replies can be courteous and specific without disclosing customer details. We do not write customer reviews, buy them or promise removal simply because a review is unfavourable.
Make maintenance a defined task
A maintenance brief can include agreed checks, factual updates, review-response drafts and an activity record. Posts need a useful business reason, such as an actual service update; a publishing quota is not evidence of progress.
Reporting separates profile interactions from confirmed enquiries. If a profile is restricted, the first task is to understand the stated issue and available evidence. Google controls verification, moderation and reinstatement decisions, so those outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Common questions
Will I keep control of my profile?
Yes. The business should retain ownership. Freya's access and permitted changes are agreed separately, with no need to disclose your account password.
Can you create listings for every area I cover?
Not simply to extend coverage. Profiles must meet Google's eligibility rules and represent real operating locations, not invented branches.
Do regular posts guarantee better visibility?
No. Posts can communicate useful information, but posting frequency is not a guarantee of visibility or enquiries.
